Victoria Eugenia Guadalupe Martínez del Río Moreno, a girl called freckles, by her mother was born on May 31st,1962 under the Gemini Zodiac sign.  Daughter of Gudalupe Moreno and Ramón Martínez del Río, she has two sisters, Marcela and  Gabriela.  She got married to Omar Fayad and is a proud mother of three children José Eduardo, Victoria, and Anuar.

 

Victoria was a restless and naughty girl who did not like school a lot, but since her childhood she had a clear idea of her vocation and a firm desire to become an international actress.  It was not easy,  however throughout the years she has fulfilled her dreams, to be one of the best Mexican actresses.

Quickly she became a famous person who was able to convey emotions and wake up feelings through her characterizations,  that have been one by one  unforgettable characters and have remained   in the life of people.

It is well known that in addition to her excellent acting chops and her friendly way of being  she has succeeded in being recognized and appreciated as a big star in many countries around the world.

 

The great director Mr. Ernesto Alonso, also known as Mr. Telenovela, was the first who offered her a role in the weekly  soap opera Conflictos de un médico.  Participating as Rosario and due to her good acting  Mr. Alonso expressed that it was not difficult at all to make her a good actress.  Her performance in this role, let her  get a new opportunity as the daughter of  Miguel Palmer in the famous soap opera Al Rojo  Vivo.

 

In 1982 Mr. Ernesto Alonso produced Quiéreme siempre and  called again Victoria Ruffo and her younger sister Gabriela, to act as the daughters of the first actress Jackeline Andere, as Ana María. Next to another first actress Maricruz Olivier, in 1983 Victoria Ruffo, with Laura Garza  and Lilly…. were part of the youth cast  of the soap opera  En Busca del Paraíso. 

 

Time passed, until the day she auditioned to get the starring role, Natali-La Fiera.  Over 25 actresses and although some people did not imagine Victoria  performing this character due to her youth, she won the right to  stage the beast.  

Today, 27 years later, the world  remembers her great performance in this soap opera and even more some people still continue calling her La fiera.   She continued her carreer  in 1985 starring the character Juana Iris, a blind girl loved by Valentin Trujillo. It was 1987 when she got for the first time the starring role in  Mr.Ernesto Alonso soap opera  Victoria,  where she shared credits with the first actor Juan Ferrara and again with Isabela Corona. 1989 was a very important year, a new challenge for Victoria with the remake of Simplemente María it was a real success and a worldwide boom that was incredible to  believe. 

 

It was 1993 when Carlos Sotomayor offered her the main role as Cristina Aranda in the soap opera called Capricho where she shared credits with Humberto Zurita and Diana Bracho.  Two years later, Antulio  Pons wih his soap opera Pobre Niña Rica chose Victoria to play the role of Consuelo Villagran sharing credits with Ariel López Padilla. She had succeded,  Russia to her feet and America admiring her for her talent and beautiful eyes.  Then in 1998 another success arrived Vivo por Elena, a soap opera produced by Juan Osorio in which Victoria shared credits with Saul LIsazo.

 

It was the 2000 year when her performance as Cristina Alvarez de Rivero in a new version of Mortal Sin under the name Abrázame muy fuerte, touched the hearts of the tv viewers. This soap opera was so successful and the rating so high that it had to be moved to prime time.  And again It was clear that Victoria was the Queen of the soap operas.  In 2005 it was unthinkable that someone could dare to produce the fourth version of  La Madrastra,  the third version had failed, while the second called Vivir un Poco was a blockbuster.  With such a  shade,  too few were able to bet on this novel, however the creation of Maria Fernández Acuña by the Ruffo with her touch, elegance and nobility, made the rating increased day by day until it became a worldwide hit.

 

At the end of this year our star becomes The First Lady of Pachuca, and takes the direction of the Integral Family Development Institute DIF, alternating her functions with acting work.  And it is in 2007 when she traveled to Bogota, Colombia to star Victoria, a soap opera produced by RTI and Telemundo who dared to make  the third version of Lady Isabel.  And once again managed to overcome the challenge, despite to sail upstream.

She traveled to a far away country to conquer the world again,  with her performance and talent achieved a very big success in her Victoria, of course, this  confirmed that her audience loved, followed and would support her wherever she was. 

 

When she came back to Mexico  in 2008, a new version of Cadenas de Amargura, a soap opera produced by Carlos Moreno, she accepted the role of Macarena, her performance was so sweet that even the most insensitive persons felt tenderness to this character, imploring to keep this woman until the end of it , however it was not possible because the script did not allow it, and when the endearing Macarena Espinosa de los Monteros died, it missed a great audience.   

 

In October 2010   she acts in a   new version of Cristal, called Triunfo del Amor, starring Victoria Sandoval, a character that let her show her audience a new side of her acting, playing the role of a strong, determined woman who has to face lots of challenges, leaving behind the selfless protagonist she had been.

By September 2012, with the production of Jose Alberto Castro,  Corona de Lagrimas, a classic melodrama, where she personifies Refuge Chavero, a tireless and dedicated mother of three children and due to her  excellent performance, this   character  ends up being written in golden letters in the history of soap operas.

 

Her development as an actress has not only been on T.V, she has also dabbled in cinema and theater.  In 2013 with the staging Las Locuras del Matrimonio,  a play produced by Gabriel Varela, she gives life to the clueless Aurelia. 

Nowdays she is preparing to act in La Malquerida a soap opera produced by José Alberto Castro,  starring Cristina Benavente de Domínguez .

 

We all know that her career will continue achieving successes.  Her heart and soul were born to succeed, her talent in undeniable, her eyes shows the great woman she is and certainly her name, Victoria has implicit the success. Definitely she is the Queen. she has proposed to become.
